Wedding Details

Our Story
Lucas and Mikaela met in February of 2020. Lucas knew Mikaela was "the one" ever since their first date, and patiently waited for Mikaela to feel ready. Mikaela, determined to travel the world and not let a man hold her back, was hesitant to commit to a relationship despite feeling an instant connection. Lucas taught Mikaela that partners should support each other in achieving their dreams, and he fatefully joined her on a 13 month traveling adventure. Lucas has supported Mikaela in her big dreams such as traveling and becoming a foster parent, while Mikaela has encouraged Lucas to further himself in his career and pursue his many hobbies. One of the things Mikaela loves most about Lucas is his emotional intelligence and his desire to always work towards being the best version of himself. Mikaela still remembers calling all her friends and family to let them know she has found true love for the first time. What Lucas loves most about Mikaela is her personality, saying "she's the nicest person I know." Lucas and Mikaela have supported each other through numerous transitions, with every challenge bringing them closer together. They have adopted 3 cats together, and Lucas has become a proud co-parent of Mikaela's dog, Davey. They look forward to sharing their love and commitment with you at their wedding.

Why Jewish Milk?
Because Mikaela is Jewish, Lucas's last name Leite means "milk" in Portuguese, and Mikaela thought this would be funny. Mikaela and Lucas find connection in their strange sense of humor. They hope you enjoy it as well.
